Former Buffy The Vampire Slayer star sarah Michelle Gellar has expressed her fears for troubled Britney Spears - insisting the singer’s plight should not be viewed as entertainment.
The actress is a big fan of the Toxic hitmaker and is sure that her recent breakdown could have been avoided if she had more support from her friends and family.
“It’s (Spears’ situation) not something to joke about. I’ve met Britney a few times and seen her perform. I think what has happened to her is heart-wrenching,” Gelar told Parade magazine. “Honestly, without sounding corny, it gives you a sorrowful experience when you realize how lonely and how isolated these girls must be. At least that’s the insight that I got.”
