Preparations are underway for legendary rocker Bob Dylan to celebrate New Year’s Eve at his newly renovated Scottish mansion.
The 66-year-old singer/songwriter spent $4.4 million on Aultmore House in Nethy Bridge, Inverness-shire last year but had to wait for restoration work to be completed before he could move in.
The private estate, which is set in 25 acres of woodland, was a joint investment between Dylan and his brother David Zimmerman and the pair are finally ready to host their first Hogmanay party there at the close of this year.
A source tells the Daily Express, “It is ready to move into. Nethy Bridge locals are placing bets on who will be the first to spot Bob Dylan and how much whisky he will be buying.”
But other residents are unhappy about their famous neighbour and have voiced concerns that he may ruin their own end of year celebrations.
The source adds: “There is a real fear that a stream of fans will pour into the remote area for New Year following their guru. Everyone is agreeing not to rent out rooms to keep the place as quiet and traditional as possible.”
