Editors at American magazine In Touch Weekly are standing by their Britney Spears pregnancy story, offering photos of the BlackBerry text correspondence they had with the reported father-to-be.

Music producer JR Rotem has since denied the reports, but initially confirmed them when In Touch Weekly reporters contacted him for a comment.

In text message photos being offered to all news agencies, Rotem, who has dated Spears on and off throughout 2007, appears to have written: “It’s true,” adding, “No clue on what she will do. She is unpredictable,” when asked if he thinks the pop star will keep the baby.

Spears sent a text message to Los Angeles radio presenter Ryan Seacrest, denying the pregnancy story on Wednesday morning.

She wrote: “It’s B.S, I don’t know who made it up. JR doesn’t even know what’s up. It’s fake, completely fake.”
