Feltz Returns To Small Screen

Vanessa FeltzHaving been off the box during daytimes for a while, Vanessa Feltz has now been given her own daily one hour lunchtime slot on ITV and is back from tomorrow from Monday December 4.

Feltz fell from grace in February 1999 after the BBC was forced to admit that actors were booked to appear on the Vanessa show as genuine guests. A number of staff working on the show were dismissed following a BBC enquiry. By July 1999 Feltz’s show was axed.

At the time it was reported by the BBC themselves that Feltz was signed to a £2m two year deal. She went to the BBC after falling out with Anglia TV over their refusal to offer her £2.75m to present her own show.

Now the 44-year-old is back on ITV each weekday in Vanessa’s Real Lives, which promises, “real people, leading extraordinary lives, with amazing stories to tell”.

“I’m absolutely thrilled and bowled over to be coming back to ITV for what I hope will be an interesting, stimulating and exciting new series,” Feltz said.

Having had what she calls a “rollercoaster ride” in her life, with her husband leaving her, and then dating her fitness coach, she is now going out with former Phats And Small singer Ben Ofoedu.

In 2006 he teamed up with some mates in a bid to be the UK’s Eurovision representatives, as the band Four Story. However they came second last in the Making Your Mind Up contest.
