Legendary music star Bob Dylan, who turned to DJ-ing earlier this year, is to have his Theme Time Radio Hour broadcast on the BBC. The critically acclaimed 60 minute show offers an eclectic mix of 65-year-old Dylan’s favourite tunes, as well as his thoughts and perspectives on music and other subjects.
Since airing on XM Radio in the States in May this year, the weekly show has covered themes including whisky, dance, police and cars.
“A lot of my own songs have been played on the radio, but this is the first time I’ve ever been on the other side of the mic,” the artist Barmitzvahed as Robert Zimmerman said.
Radio 2 will provide a sneak preview to the show, starting on 23 December, running until 28 December, and then 6 Music will broadcast the shows regularly every Friday night from 12 January at 9pm.
