Rock matriarch Sharon Osbourne failed to attend her father Don Arden’sĀ funeral - because she was too upset to go.
The music mogul - who launched the careers of music acts the Small Faces, Electric Light Orchestra and Black Sabbath - passed away at a nursing home in Los Angeles on Saturday. He was 81.
Osbourne was estranged from her father for 20 years, and revealed his violent ways in her autobiography Extreme. However, the pair were reconciled in 2002 after he developed Alzheimer’s Disease.
She flew back to the U.K. earlier this week with Arden’s body in time for Wednesday’s burial in his native Salford in Manchester, England.
A source tells British newspaper The Sun, “Sharon was too traumatised to go.”
