Seagal Sues Law Firm

Steven SeagalAction hero musican Steven Seagal is suing a law firm that represented him in an extortion case against his former business associate - because the lawyers are reportedly over-charging him.

According to court papers filed last week, Seagal claims the attorneys at Loeb + Loeb are charging him excessive fees for their services in a 2002 criminal trial.

The Under Siege actor and blues guitarist hired them to represent him when he testified against Julius Nasso before a federal grand jury, but he was stunned when the law firm’s associates billed him for more than $1 million.

Seagal claims he has paid half the money but then sought legal advice and determined he had been “substantially overcharged.”

Seagal is seeking damages of at least $450,000, while the law firm’s bosses insist the actor still owes them in excess of $570,000.
