American actress Rhea Perlman finds performing on London’s West End stage daunting compared to starring on hit TV show Cheers.
The star, who played Carla Tortelli in the sitcom, is currently starring in London production Boeing Boeing - but admits she finds the English capital “intimidating”.
“It’s scary when you first come over because it’s London. It’s a little intimidating,” she says. “But my family are slowly starting to come over to see me which has made me feel a little better.”
But Perlman - who is married to Hollywood actor Danny DeVito - says her stage fright will not put her off visiting London’s famous landmarks.
“I intend to go everywhere and see everything. It is a great city,” she adds. “I often get lost but I intend to see as much as possible this summer.”
