British uber producer Mark Ronson has heaped praise on The Charlatans’ Tim Burgesss for making a Transatlantic trek to appear on stage with him at Glastonbury.
Earlier this year Ronson released an album of covers called Version, featuring a host of stars including Lily Allen and Amy Winehouse, but he feared he’d never get the chance to work with his number one idol Burgess.
However, after months of pleading, the British singer agreed to fly in from his current home in Los Angeles to join Ronson live at the Glastonbury Festival in Somerset, England.
Speaking during the Sunday night set, a thrilled Ronson said, “I’ve been badgering this legend for so long and he finally gave in. Playing with him on stage has not only made my entire festival, it’s made my whole year too. I can’t begin to explain how good this feels.”
Burgess sang The Charlatans’ 1990 single The Only One I Know, which British pop star Robbie Williams covers on Ronson’s album.
