Roth Reveals Shock Horror Barmitzvah

The leader of horror’s splat pack, Eli Roth, has revealed that his barmitzvah had a ghoulish theme to it and that when his parents told the rabbi their son would grow up as a Hollywood director he laughed.
Recalling his coming of age, Roth says the barmitzvah cake was shaped like a clapperboard with blood on it and his party saw him being cut in half with a chainsaw by a magician.
When his parents told the rabbi that the 13-year-old Roth would emerge as one of Hollywood’s leading cutting edge directors, he just laughed.
But the experience made Roth even more determined to show what he could do and he’s having the last laugh.
“My autobiography will be called Everyone Laughed At Me at My Barmitzvah,” Roth says.
