Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine hates being called a celebrity because he makes a point of avoiding red carpet events.
The 28-year-old is determined to keep a distance from A-list parties.
“We want people to remember that we’re a band, and I’m not a celebrity. That’s gotten skewed over the past couple of years, so we want to correct things,” he says. “We don’t walk on red carpets, we don’t act in movies, and we don’t date other celebrities.”
