It seems that Joan Rivers has never been so in demand in the UK as she is at the moment.
The feisty senior citizen is spending a long weekend in London, during which time she performed at London’s G-A-Y club, appeared on Michael Parkinson’s ITV1 chat show along with fellow Semites Stephen Fry and George Michael, and glammed up as a guest as well as a prize presenter at the Bafta Television Awards.
All of this is in preparation for her main job of hosting the Miss Great Britain 2007 beauty contest. However those who want to see Rivers live at the contest will have to part with £235 for a ticket, although this does include a meal and wine.
During her Parkinson appearance, Rivers revealed details of her personal life and talked about her husband’s suicide, the impact it had on her daughter Melissa and why she loves her gay fans.
