Hip hop to metal producer Rick Rubin has confirmed he’s taking a leading role at record label Columbia.
The company issued a statement yesterday revealing the Def Jam Records co-founder has been hired and will play a major part in the music group’s immediate future.
His exact role has not been revealed, but the official line is he will “form a dynamic and creative executive partnership” with Columbia chairman Steve Barnett.
