Jewish Radio Talent Tipped To Triumph At Awards

Broadcasters Anna Raeburn and Vanessa Feltz are to go head to head for one of the top prizes at the prestigious Sony Radio Academy Awards, to be held later this month.
Both have been nominated for the Speech Broadcaster Of The Year award, Raeburn for her show on London station LBC 97.3, Feltz for her BBC London programme, which is broadcast every weekday morning.
Veteran agony aunt Raeburn is also on the shortlist for a special prize, the Broadcaster’s Broadcaster award, which is being given out this year to mark the 25th anniversary of the ceremony.
Other Jewish nominees include former Sex Pistols manager Malcolm McLaren, who is in the running for The Music Special Award for his Radio 2 show Malcolm McLaren’s Musical Map Of London.
Meanwhile, funnyman David Baddiel has been nominated along with comedy partner Frank Skinner, for the Internet Programme Award for Baddiel And Skinner’s World Cup Podcast.
The awards will be handed out at a ceremony in London on April 30.
