Showbiz babe Rachel Stevens was involved in a bust up with airline crew after she was denied a promised upgrade to Upper Class.
The former S Club 7 star, who has recently been living in Hollywood in a bid to develop her acting career, was checking in to a Virgin Atlantic flight from Los Angeles to London to get back to friends and family in time for Passover.
According to the Sunday Mirror, having booked a Premium Economy seat, Stevens was told she would get offered an upgrade to Upper Class at the airport.
But when she arrived, no upgrade was available.
According to a passenger on the flight: “She hovered by the first-class seating. She said she had been promised an upgrade but could not say who had promised her. Then she delivered the immortal line, “Don’t you know who I am?’ She pleaded with a stewardess to let her sit down and didn’t seem to want to let it go.”
Eventually, another member of the cabin crew told her to sit down in her allocated Premium Economy seat which she did.
Despite the confusion over seating, Stevens is said to have had a “lovely flight”.
