Little Britain star Matt Lucas realised he was gay when he started to fancy 1980s pop star Shakin’ Stevens.
The 33-year-old who married boyfriend Kevin McGee late last year, says he started to question his sexuality when he saw a poster of the singer.
“The first time I’d an inkling I was gay was looking at that picture when I was seven,” he told Attitude magazine.
He added: “I said to my friend Michael, ‘Don’t you think sometimes men are handsome’? I didn’t think much of it at the time — I thought both girls and boys were attractive. I’m sure the thoughts weren’t sexual, but there was something there.”
