Abramovich Gets Divorce

Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich and his wife Irina have divorced in Russia “on a consensual basis” after 15 years of marriage.
The couple, who have five children, issued a joint statement asking that they would “appreciate it if the family’s privacy would be respected”.
According to media reports last year, 40-year-old oil tycoon and Chelsea Football Club owner Abramovich was linked with 24-year-old Russian model Daria Zhukova and once Irina was aware of this started the process for divorce by consulting top divorce lawyer Raymond Tooth
In the statement, the couple said:
“Mr and Mrs Abramovich have divorced in Russia on a consensual basis and have agreed terms in respect of arrangements for their children and a financial settlement. Mr Abramovich’s corporate interests, including Chelsea Football Club, are not affected by the divorce proceedings. Mr and Mrs Abramovich would appreciate it if the family’s privacy would be respected. No further comment will be made.”
Terms of the financial settlement have not been released but sources suggest Irina could get a divorce settlement running into several billion pounds.
