Sir Alan Sugar Goes Very Quiet

Sir Alan SugarEveryone’s favourite loud mouth Jewish tycoon with a beard who runs Amstrad and is called Sir Alan, may still soon be offering his very own executive toy you can buy which utters phrases including “You’re Fired” from his successful TV show The Apprentice.

His other famous phrases from the TV series include: “I don’t like liars, I don’t like cheats, I don’t like bullshitters, I don’t like schmoozers and I don’t like arse-lickers.”

The Amsface Animatronic Sugar first came to our attention in May and was even shown on Friday Night with Jonathan Ross.

It was highly visible on Amstrad’s own website through this link:  but now it shows a page not found.

Apparently it is meant to go on sale sometime this month in time for Chanukah and Christmas with some of the money being made from it going to support children’s hospital Great Ormond Street.

When it was first revealed on its own website, a notice said: “Amstrad plan to approach other people with famous catchphrases and expressions. Simon Cowell, Gordon Ramsay, Catherine Tate or Matt Lucas are just a few of the potential celebrities we have in mind to approach (although no agreements have yet been made).”

But now, it seems to have gone very quiet, which is unusual for Sir Alan, a man not known for keeping quiet, unless of course the product has been delayed or withdrawn.

There was even speculation that the toy could be personalised as special one-offs for those who wanted to buy a bespoke animatronic for friends and family.

Come on Sir Alan, we want this toy and more importantly, we want to see it soon.
