Comedian Jerry Seinfeld has dismissed reports he is to star in a new TV sitcom.
The funnyman was alleged to be in talks with US cable network NBC for a new show similar to his writing partner Larry David’s offbeat Curb Your Enthusiasm.
But NBC spokeswoman Rebecca Marks has denied the rumours, saying: “There’s nothing to it.”
And Seinfeld’s representative, Elizabeth Clark Zoia, has also shot down the New York Post reports, insisting the rumours are completely false.
She added: “We appreciate the enthusiasm, however.”
Seinfeld’s last self-titled sitcom, which he starred in with David, Michael Richards and Julia Luis-Dreyfus, ended its nine-year run in 1998.
