Speculation is mounting that an unprecedented number of Jewish stars are being lined for this year’s I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here.
The hit ITV show, set in the Australian jungle, previously featured Jewish celebs including All Saints Natalie Appleton, spoon bender Uri Geller, model Katie Price aka Jordan and ex-Blue singer Antony Costa.
With appearance fees of £100,000 at stake, it is one of the most lucrative jobs to get on TV.
For series 6 which starts on November 13 and is set to run until December 4, top Jews lined up to make an appearance include sexy former S-Club singer Rachel Stevens, Sex Pistols manager Malcolm MacLaren, supermodel Caprice, comedian David Baddiel and actor David Schwimmer.
According to an ITV insider: “Everyone is really impressed at how big David Schwimmer’s fanbase is in the UK. We signed him up to be appear at the National TV Awards and were stunned at how well he connected with the audience. They loved him. We are now hoping he might take up an offer to appear on I’m A Celebrity.”
Malcolm MacLaren, who now lives in Paris has indicated that he would only appear if he gets more than reality TV popstar Myleene Klass who is set to command £100,000.
