Portman Turns Down Spacey

Published on June 07, 2007 with 1 Comment

Actor/theatre director Kevin Spacey has reportedly suffered an embarrassing snub – Natalie Portman has turned down a chance to perform in his new stage play.

The Usual Suspects star reportedly wanted Portman to star in his stage adaptation of Pedro Almodovar’s movie All About My Mother at London’s Old Vic theatre – but the Star Wars Queen had to turn it down because of her busy schedule, according to The Independent newspaper.

A spokesperson for the production declined to comment, but stressed casting is “ongoing” and “no actors have been confirmed yet.”

  1. How stupid! Just because Portman is too busy to star in Spacey’s play means nothing more than that. I don’t think Kevin will be losing sleep over this!
