Troubled singer SAmy Winehouse is reportedly planning to purchase a secluded country home in a bid to escape the temptations of London.
The Rehab hitmaker, who currently lives in North London, is said to be ready to sign a $1.4 million contract for a 150-year-old farmhouse in a village in Suffolk, England.
A source told The Sun: “Amy has been looking for something in the area – and this particular place really is the ideal location. It is a really quiet, hidden spot where she would be away from the chaos of her life in London and could concentrate properly on getting her life back on track again.”
And the star’s father, Mitch, is in favour of the property, which boasts seven bedrooms and a five-car garage.
He said: “I hope she will be very happy there. When Blake comes out of prison the two of them are going to need somewhere to live together.”
Winehouse’s husband Blake Fielder-Civil is currently behind bars after being convicted on charges of grievous bodily harm and perverting the course of justice.
