Troubled singer Amy Winehouse is determined to turn her 12-year-old goddaughter into a star – and has exhibited her talents in a new internet video.

The Rehab hitmaker recorded a duet version of Alicia Keys’ hit track If I Ain’t Got You with Dionne Bromfield at a secret location in London.

The five-minute recording appears on video sharing website YouTube.com.

Bromfield, who is being sponsored by Winehouse to go to a singing camp in America during the summer holidays, said after the five-minute recording: “It was great – she’s a fabulous teacher. I don’t care what anyone says about her, she’s really good with me. I loved singing the Alicia Keys song – it’s one of my favourites. It was Amy who wanted me to do the video. She keeps on saying she thinks I’ve got a really great voice.”

Winehouse, 24, added: “She’s better than I was at her age. She’s got an amazing voice. I just think people should know about Dionne – she’s already being signed up by a music label and it won’t be long before people know about her.”

It is the second video featuring Winehouse to appear on the website. At the weekend, Winehouse and Pete Doherty appeared in video footage where she used mice to pass on a message to her incarcerated husband Blake Fielder-Civil.
