Amy Winehouse’s uber-producer Mark Ronson has dismissed reports he was angry the troubled singer recently snubbed his music video shoot to go on holiday with her husband Blake Fielder-Civil.
Ronson, who produced Winehouse’s hit album Back To Black, claims Winehouse was never expected to make an appearance in the promo for his reworking of The Zutons’ Valerie.
“I hate that I even have to address this ’cause it’s such a crock of s**te, but I must clear this up,” he writes on his blog. “Some daily paper published a completely fictionalised story about me being ‘furious’ with Amy for not turning up to the video shoot for our song and swearing never to work with her again. It’s all bulls**te, all of it. Originally, neither of us were gonna be in the video. Then, I’d known for weeks Amy wasn’t gonna be in the video… I knew she was going on holiday and was fine with all of it.”
