David Lee RothLegendary rock band Van Halen, which featured flamboyant frontman David Lee Roth for much of their successful career, are to be inducted into the Rock n’Roll Hall Of Fame.

A panel of 600 music experts nominated the band for the Hall of Fame. Other performers being inducted include REM and The Ronettes.

The ceremony will be held at New York’s Waldorf Astoria Hotel on March 12, and according to Rock n’Roll Hall Of Fame tradition, all artists will be expected to perform.

Roth, who was in Van Halen from the mid-70s to the mid-80s, is rumoured to be rejoining the Van Halen brothers for a possible tour. This award could kickstart their reunion.
