Winehouse Reveals Bond plans

Published on November 06, 2006 with No Comments

Amy WinehouseRehab charttopper Amy Winehouse is looking to become the second Jewish woman after Carly Simon to record a James Bond theme tune.

Simon recorded Nobody Does It Better for The Spy Who Loved Me in 1977.

The north London hitmaker, 23, reveals she’s already had a preliminary discussion with 007 executives and is optimistic she’ll follow Casino Royale artist Chris Cornell into the recording studio.

But, don’t hold your breath waiting, any song won’t appear until sometime in 2008 when the unnamed Bond 22 is released.

“We’ve been in contact with the James Bond people and hopefully that’ll come off in the future,” said Winehouse.
