English Academy Award winning actress Rachel Weisz has hailed a combination of pilates and breast-feeding with helping her lose her post-baby weight following the birth of son Henry Chance in May.
The kosher beauty and her director fiance Darren Aronsky are currently balancing promoting their movie The Fountain with caring for the five-month-old tot.
Despite quickly regaining her svelte shape after giving birth to Henry, Weisz insists she didn’t starve herself or undergo a crash diet like many other celebrity mums.
“I don’t really have a magic potion or pill, I do Pilates,” she says. “Nursing burns a lot of calories, 500 calories a day. So, if I could help promote breast-feeding, that would be a good way.”
She added: “I was seven months pregnant when I won the Academy Award! Really, since then, I’ve just been a mum, mainly. It’s the most ultimate honour you can get. I have respect for all working mums out there, because it’s definitely a complicated balancing act, which millions of women are doing all the time. But I’m part of that club now.”
