Shia LaBeouf has been forced to pull out of a forthcoming film after doctors reportedly advised him to undergo more surgery to his smashed hand.
The actor was scheduled to begin shooting new film Dark Fields this autumn.
The project was postponed when LaBeouf injured his hand in a car accident in July and had to recuperate from surgery.
But new reports indicate LaBeouf may need to go under the knife again to treat the area around his thumb and has withdrawn completely from the project, leaving bosses to hunt for a new leading man, reports Fox News.
A source said: “Shia’s hand is totally shattered, its much worse than anyone thought.”
The injury also led to a rewrite in the script for his character in action flick, Transformers 2.
