The Office and Extras creator Ricky Gervais has hinted that he is set to work with Lost creator and forthcoming Star Trek XI director/producer JJ Abrams.
The two are good friends and Abrams gave The Office a little plug in an episode of Lost when a paper company in Slough was mentioned.
“I was chuffed when I heard the mention in Lost,”Gervais revealed in an online interview with News Of The World. “JJ Abrams who created the show is a fan of The Office and slipped in a little reference for fun. We are actually planning to work together but can’t say too much about that yet.”
JJ, born Jeffrey Jacob in New York has had previous dealings with Gervais and the two have been showbiz pals for a number of years.
“He created Alias too, in which I did a guest appearance. I played an English terrorist and they dressed me in a big jumper and cords. JJ also offered me a part in Mission Impossible III but I was doing another film.”
