    Jenny AbramskyThe former head of music on BBC radio is among a number of members of the Jewish community who have been recognised in The Queen’s New Year’s Honours. Jenny Abramsky, who retired from the BBC during the summer, is to be made a Dame.

    Abramsky, who joined the BBC in 1969 and worked for them throughout, is now currently the chair of The Heritage Lottery Fund which provides funding for communities to help them look after and celebrate their heritage.

    Andrew SachsFawlty Towers actor Andrew Sachs will not be filing a police complaint against controversial comedian Russell Brand over a crude phone prank, because he’s “not out for revenge”.

    Brand quit his job as a BBC radio presenter following a stunt with chatshow host Jonathan Ross on 18 October, which saw the pair leave four lewd voicemail messages on Sachs’ phone. In the messages, they discussed Brand’s fling with the 78-year-old’s granddaughter Georgina. They also joked about breaking into his house and molesting him, although that dialogue was cut from the aired broadcast.

    During four calls, which were aired on Brand’s Radio 2 show on 18 October, he and fellow broadcaster Jonathan Ross recorded voicemail messages on Fawlty Towers star Sachs’ phone, in which they discussed Brand’s fling with the 78-year-old’s granddaughter.     Andrew SachsFawlty Towers actor Andrew Sachs has expressed his fury at comedian Russell Brand for playing an “offensive” prank on the star.

    Brand was joined on his BBC Radio 2 programme by British chatshow host Jonathan Ross on 18 October, when the funnyman bragged about sleeping with Sachs’ granddaughter.

    The pair then left a series of crude voicemail messages on Sachs’ phone, suggesting Brand had bedded 23-year-old Georgina on a sofa and a garden swing.

    US government officials have denied an interstate highway rest stop named after radio shock jock Howard Stern was shut down after patrons began using its public restrooms for sex.

    Howard Stern Rest Stop along I-295 in New Jersey – named after the raunchy satellite radio host in 1995 – was allegedly closed last year after state officials discovered motorists were using its bathrooms for x-rated romps.

    Shock jock Howard Stern is planning to say `I do’ twice to model fiancee BETH OSTROSKY – the couple is planning two weddings.

    The couple, who got engaged on Valentine’s Day 2007, will wed before family and friends in The Hamptons, New York next month and then stage a more intimate affair in October.

    Ostrosky has revealed to In Touch her gown for the August nuptials will be designed by Georgina Chapman from Marchesa.
